    This meeting is being hosted by the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC.

    The purpose of regional member meetings is to maintain open lines of communication between PEDA leadership and its members throughout the state. We will be receiving and discussing your input on several important agenda items and your participation is essential. Based on previous trends in attendance, meetings will be held in strategic locations around the state.

    Each of this year’s live meetings will begin at 10:00 am, break for lunch (provided by our hosts) by noon, and conclude no later than 2:00 pm. Meeting attire is business casual. For the purpose of venue guarantees, the deadline to register for each event will be COB 7 days prior!

    A parking lot is available on site.

    COVID-19 Protocols: PEDA strongly encourages all event participants to be fully vaccinated prior to attending this event and continues to monitor guidance by the CDC and state health officials. Participants are asked to remain up-to-date regarding the latest CDC guidance during their visit to the event venue.     Basic Economic Development Course in PA

    Join PEDA, the IEDC-accredited sponsor of the Basic Economic Development Course in PA, as we launch our NEW format! Starting in 2022, the course will be split between nine weeks, beginning in December 2022 and concluding in February 2023. The first and last days will be held in person at the Keystone Building in Harrisburg. The remaining seven days will be held virtually (via Zoom). Participants are required to attend all in person and virtual sessions in order to earn a certificate.

    Course Objectives:

    • Learn fundamental concepts and theories of economic development.
    • Gain knowledge and skills needed to be successful in today's challenging economic environment.
    • Receive training from experienced faculty drawn from the ranks of business, government, academia, and the private sector.
    • Network with other economic development professionals from both inside and outside Pennsylvania.
    • The course is accredited by the International Economic Development Council. It fulfills one of the prerequisites for those who wish to take the examinations for the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation.
    • The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) is a non-profit, non-partisan membership organization serving economic developers. IEDC provides leadership and excellence in economic development for its communities, members, and partners.
