PEDA is the primary statewide organization representing economic development professionals and, as such, provides opportunities to share best practices that enhance the professional dialogue and support local, regional, and state economic development initiatives.
Who should attend? Those in attendance are expected to include professionals representing economic and community development at the municipal, county, regional, and state levels as well as workforce development professionals, commercial and industrial developers, business incubator operators, project finance professionals, IDA directors, elected officials, and executives representing utilities and transportation, engineering, and construction.

Coming Soon: Pre-Conference Session
To best meet CEDOs’ needs, PIDA is currently revising its approach to providing the PIDA Training which, in recent years, has been held on the morning of the first day of each PEDA spring conference. While PIDA plans to provide details to CEDOs as soon as possible, this decision has created an opening in which PEDA plans to develop and offer a 3.00 hour finance-focused pre-conference session on the morning of Monday, April 15, 2024.
The session, entitled "Fundamentals of Collateral", is currently under development, however, PIDA has approved it to provide DCED-certified economic development organizations (CEDOs) with 3.00 Finance PDUs toward the annual PIDA requirement of 6.00. In other words, through their participation in the conference and the pre-conference session, eligible representatives of CEDOs may earn up to 4.00 finance PDUs toward the annual PIDA requirement of 6.00. In addition to the 3.00 PDUs available through the pre-conference session, the conference session entitled “Tax-Exempt Financing for Economic Development” has been approved to provide 1.00 finance PDU.
Once the pre-conference session is finalized, further session details will be provided. Registration for this session will be separate from registration for the 2024 PEDA Spring Legislative Conference.
