Developing Local COVID-19 Grant Programs: A Forum for PEDA Members
As CARES Act funding is being dispersed to counties that didn’t receive direct allocations, it’s understood that local elected officials will want to seek ways to assist the business community. With this as a backdrop, PEDA is inviting its members to a virtual meeting to provide a forum for conversation. Though ample time will be allotted for open discussion, the call will be kicked off with a brief advocacy update, followed by a moderated panel, during which presenters who have already implemented several rounds of funding and support – utilizing CARES Act funds and other sources – will discuss their experiences with economic development programs focused on COVID-19 response. Panelists are prepared to candidly discuss what programs have proven most effective (from deployment to close and through compliance), which ones can be replicated or improved upon within other communities, etc.
To suggest topics to be addressed during this meeting, please email Josh Skopp at firstname.lastname@example.org.
An agenda and log-in credentials for Zoom will be provided ahead of the designated meeting date and time.
A maximum headcount has been established for this event to maximize the effectiveness of the discussion.
