In lieu of a pre-conference offering, and based on widely received feedback, this time slot has been made available to Pennsylvania DCED staff for the provision of PIDA training to certified economic development organizations (CEDOs).
The breakdown for the training will include about an hour of updates and overviewing important administrative functions relating to CEDOs, an hour on underwriting training and an hour on portfolio management training.
This training will take place in the Desert Room (Plaza Level) of the Commonwealth Keystone Building (400 North Street, Harrisburg, PA, 17120). Further details will be provided directly by DCED staff as they become available and, in the meantime, questions may be directed to Jared Lucas, Director of the PIDA Division within DCED’s Office of Business Financing.
Cancellation / Refund Policies
Due to venue guarantees, requests for cancellations and refunds must be made in writing and received by Wednesday, April 17th. No refunds will be granted after that point. All cancellations and refunds are subject to a $50 administrative fee. No-shows will be billed in full.
This event is recognized by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) as a professional development training that counts toward the recertification of Certified Economic Developers (CEcD).

Room Block Piracy/Poaching
Please note that similarly sized organizations have recently been the target of sham housing companies, which have contacted other organizations’ sponsors, exhibitors and/or registrants with fraudulent offerings of hotel rooms at significant discounts. As a precaution, this post is intended to keep you informed and to advise that no one from PEDA or our conference hotel(s) will contact you to request personal information including, but not limited to, credit card information.
If you are contacted by anyone asking if you need a room reservation for a PEDA conference, or if they advise they’re representing our conference venues, please do not provide them with any information, but collect as much information as you can from them and pass it along to PEDA.
