TUESDAY EVENING BEVERAGE SPONSORS
This Project was financed in part by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, DCED.
The Craft of Deal Structures
Using recent case studies and drawing on real-world experiences, our panel of presenters (representing an EDO, a municipality and a CDFI), who’ve worked together on numerous projects and utilized a wide array of funding programs and mechanisms to bring their projects to fruition, will explore various elements of economic development finance (e.g., deal structuring, finance strategies, risk assessment, etc.), and discuss creative techniques and insights for getting even the toughest of deals done.
Young Professional Scholarship
Click here to access the Young Professional Scholarship Request Form for PEDA's fall conference. These scholarship opportunities are made available through the generosity of FirstEnergy Corp and Team Pennsylvania Foundation.
The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) has confirmed this event qualifies as a professional development training that counts toward the recertification of Certified Economic Developers (CEcD).
Do you want to earn a free conference registration?
When you refer a new member of PEDA, they have an option to identify you as their "Sponsoring Member". The PEDA member who sponsors the most new members between now and the next conference can earn a free conference registration.
Consent to Use of Photographic Images
Registration and attendance at, or participation in, the 2018 PEDA Fall Conference constitutes an agreement by the registrant to PEDA’s use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee's image in photographs.
Hotel Reservation Information
Room rates for this conference have been reserved for $149/night for single or double accommodations.
The majority of rooms have been reserved at the Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel, while a few are available at the Courtyard Erie Bayfront. Both properties adjoin the Bayfront Convention Center and the discounted room rate is available through August 30th or until all rooms have been reserved, whichever occurs first.
Excursion – Downtown Erie Brewery Crawl
Enjoy visiting three of Erie's finest breweries – Voodoo Brewing, The Brewerie at Union Station and Lavery Brewing. Representing only a few of Erie's fourteen breweries, all three are located within a few blocks of one another. Participants will be dropped off at Voodoo Brewing, picked up at The Brewerie and, in between, will be accompanied by a guide, who will lead them - on foot - between the breweries. The average walk time between locations is approximately eight minutes and participants are responsible for food and beverage costs.
Excursion – Presque Isle Downs & Casino
Enjoy an afternoon at Erie's premier casino for thoroughbred horse racing, table games and more. The shuttle will depart the BCC at 2:00 pm for the casino and will leave the casino at 4:30 pm to return to the BCC.

Please note that early bird registration rates will be honored only for registrations received and fully paid by the stated deadline. A registration received after the deadline or only partially completed by the deadline will result in the registrant being assessed the standard registration rate.
Cancellation / Refund Policies
Due to venue guarantees, requests for cancellations and refunds must be made in writing and received by Wednesday, September 19th. No refunds will be granted after that point. All cancellations and refunds are subject to a $50 administrative fee. No-shows will be billed in full. Substitutions are permitted, but rate adjustments (i.e., non-member vs. member, standard vs. early-bird, etc.) will apply.
The hotels will provide complimentary parking at their parking garages for overnight guests.
Parking is free in the Bayfront Convention Center's open parking lot, though overnight parking is not permitted.
Room Block Piracy/Poaching
Please note that similarly sized organizations have recently been the target of sham housing companies, which have contacted other organizations’ sponsors, exhibitors and/or registrants with fraudulent offerings of hotel rooms at significant discounts. As a precaution, this post is intended to keep you informed and to advise that no one from PEDA or our conference hotel(s) will contact you to request personal information including, but not limited to, credit card information.
If you are contacted by anyone asking if you need a room reservation for a PEDA conference, or if they advise they’re representing our conference venues, please do not provide them with any information, but collect as much information as you can from them and pass it along to PEDA.
