Credit Reports & Other Searches – Are You Getting Everything You Need From Them?
The world of finance regulation may not apply directly and exactly to the operations and practices of economic development organizations, but it certainly has influenced how we think and how we may interact with other financing partners. Confidentiality concerns, privacy fears, independent third party certification requirements, and the ability or inability to hide one’s credit standing and history are all factors in CEDO underwriting and portfolio management requirements, too. This training will focus on fluently reading credit reports and other searches such as tax lien searches, bankruptcy records and property reports to meet DCED policies as well as protect your loan portfolio.
A panel of experts is currently under development and may be comprised of a banker, a credit report vendor, a finance-focused attorney, and a DCED representative. Stay tuned.
Separate registration is required.
This event is recognized by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) as a professional development event that counts towards the recertification of Certified Economic Developers (CEcDs).
